A new american-style medical clinic is being built on the east side of Roatan island where it is needed most!
The need for a clinic is great
There are no large tourist companies or cruise ports on the east side of Roatan. Therefore, good paying jobs are limited and large percentage of people live in poverty. Most people cannot afford to go the other side of the island where they can receive all the medical services not currently available on the east side.
The new clinic is located on the east side of Roatan, on the main road. We will be easily accessible to everyone in the area, ensuring that quality healthcare is never out of reach. We will offer a wide variety of medical services and needed medicines are for one price so that it will be affordable for most people. But, we will never turn anyone away that needs care because they cannot pay. We will offer sponsorships to cover the cost of the visit for those patients.
Medical Services
The need is great for medical services all over the island. Diabetes and Hypertension are the most prevelent diseases in all of Honduras, especially on the Island. There are also a lot of problems with fungal infections, allergies, parasites and mosquito born viruses. All of these medical problems, if left untreated, will end up causing more serious problems. The clinic will be in an accessable loocation and we will offer free medicines to each patient with a doctors consultation. That is not being done by most clinics so it would be a great help to the patients.
Diagnostic Services
We will be able to offer diagnostic ultrasound services as soon as we open. We will be able to perform all types of ultrasounds such as general, obstetrical, vascular, cardiac, breast, thyroid and much more. Rooms will already be set up to be able to offer X-ray and laboratory services as soon as we can acqire the equipment. All of these services are not currently available on the east side of the island.
Home visits
We will be brining medical professionals from the United States and other countries abroad to be a part of our home visit and community health programs. We visit people at their home, especially the home-bound, to provide medical care and to pray with them and share the gospel.
Health Education
We will be giving medical education classes in many areas including; diabetes, hypertension, prenatal, newborn and early childhood and general first aid.

We're not just a clinic; we're a community partner. By providing job opportunities and fostering economic growth, we're contributing to the thriving future of Roatan's east side. Plus, it is our goal to help educate everyone in the local communities about their health by offering educational classes in different diseases, prenatal care, parenting, and general first aid.
